REGISTRATION & ATTENDANCE:

How can I find a complete list of all in-store classes offered?

Simply click here, pick up one of our at-a glance class schedules at your local Maly’s Store, or ask your Maly’s Salon Consultant.

How do I register for a class?

Registration for classes can be done by contacting your Maly’s Sales Consultant, calling customer service at 800-44-MALYS, or through any Maly’s Store Location. Most free classes require no registration, but please check the class listings for complete registration details on all classes.

When I register for a class do I receive a ticket?

No, physical tickets are not issued for any classes (with the exception of some special events). Your invoice/receipt is your proof of purchase for your record only. You do not need to hold onto it for admission. On the day of the class, simply check in, and your name will automatically be on the class attendance list.

How do I know if I’m signed up for a class if I don’t receive a ticket for the class?

Your name is automatically added to the class list through a record of your purchase. If you would like to confirm that you are registered for a class, please call customer service at 800-44-MALYS and they can verify your purchase of the class.

Can I just show up on the day of a class or event and pay for it then?

Yes, we welcome you anytime, however we encourage pre-registration as often times a class or event can be sold out. Also, only credit card payment is accepted when registering on the date of a class or event.

What are the advantages of pre-registration?

Pre-registering for any Maly's class or event is highly recommended as it guarantees you a seat. Many classes and events sell out, and once you are pre-registered your seat is fully secured. It also helps guarantee the event you want takes place, as some brands require a specific number of attendees or risk rescheduling.

Are students welcome at classes?

Yes, students in the industry are welcome.

I’m traveling to the class/event with my child, spouse or a friend. Can they attend the class with me and just observe?

Unfortunately no. Our classes are exclusive educational experiences for licensed professionals only.

How often do you have special events?

Our special event lineup is constantly changing so be sure to check our website often or ask your Maly’s Store or Sales Representative for updates!

How will I know what tools to bring to a hands-on class?

The online class listings as well as our at-a-glance class schedules have complete lists of tools to bring when applicable. Printable flyers for brand specific technical education events are available to download here, and contain complete class tool lists (when needed).

What are education product vouchers?

Many education classes include brand specific product vouchers. They are redeemable after the class for any products registered attendees wish to purchase for the brand specified, and are valid that day only. Many times they are for the same amount as the registration fee, making your class basically free by giving you a refund in product!

I always have such a great time at Maly’s Education Events and in-store classes. How can I become an educator myself, and start helping others go further?

The first step is easy! Simply contact the Education Department at 800-44-MALYS and request an Educator application.


CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:

What is the refund policy?

If you determine that you cannot attend a class, you must notify the SalonCentric Education Department by phone no less than 5 days prior to the in-store class date to receive a 100% refund. Please note that special events require 30 days of notice for refunds. No refunds, transfers or credits of any kind will be issued if notification is given in less than the required number of days stated above.

If I am unable to attend class or event at the last minute, can I have a friend go in my place?

Yes, providing the person attending in your place is a licensed cosmetologist or a student.

What is your cancellation policy?

If SalonCentric cancels a class, those registered will be notified by phone of the cancellation at least 5 days before the in-store class, or 30 days before the special event. A full credit will be issued to the customer’s SalonCentric account for use against future classes or product purchases.
