mommy amour day
Level 5 Salon in San Leandro CA kicked off their first
ever Mommy Amour Day on Monday, April 7, 2008. The event
was inspired by an article in Maly’s M Magazine earlier
this year about Ma Belle Salon and their support of Mothers
of seriously ill children. Moved by the idea, Level 5 partnered
with Children’s Hospital of Oakland and organized a day
of pampering to mothers of ill children. The stylists of
Level 5 Salon gave mothers complimentary beauty makeovers including deep
conditioning treatments, haircuts, colors, highlights and
press & curls.
The salon’s neighbors at Vista Nails helped complete the
makeovers with the addition of manicures, pedicures and
eyebrow shaping.
Maly’s supported the event by providing
gift bags filled with premium hair care products. Other
clients and nearby businesses followed suit also getting
involved. From flower bouquets given by San Leandro Florists,
to homemade brownies, to beautiful jewelry sets from Level
5 client and Cookie Lee distributer Dawn Bioca, the spirit
of giving was contagious. Hot coffee was donated by the
local Starbucks, and to top off the day of rest and relaxation,
the mothers were treated to a gourmet meal at the nearby
Cre Asian Bistro.
Nothing at Maly’s makes us prouder than
seeing people come together to give back. Congratulations
