Maly's has been a successful salon products distributor for over 40 years. Named "Distributor of the Year" by Modern Salon in 2007, Maly’s has also received honors from American Salon for "Educational Excellence" and "Salon Business Building".

Maly’s started as a family owned company, founded by Ken Maly in Grand Rapids, MI in 1967. By 1989 Maly’s would spread all the way out to the west coast, resulting in the formation of Maly’s West headquartered in Southern California. Continuing with the company’s strong focus on family, Ken’s son John was named President of Maly’s West.

John Maly would go on to successfully run Maly’s West for the next 19 years. John’s personable demeanor, along with his commitment to the company and employees, kept the small family owned feeling alive even while Maly’s was thriving and expanding.

Nearly 20 years after it’s founding, Maly’s West made a historic decision to sell the ownership of its business to L’Oreal USA. Under L’Oreal’s ownership Maly’s continues to build lasting relationships supporting beauty professionals through exceptional products, service, and industry leading education.

Maly’s West currently employs more than 1000 people and provides products and services to over 30,000 salons. Maly’s West now serves Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. With over 300 sales consultants and 130+ stores, Maly’s is committed to being the best distributor for the salon professional.
